The Charterboat Consortium is a random drug testing program for maritime
employers and their employees, who are members of the
National Association of Charterboat Operators (NACO.)
Our program was created in 2003 at the request of NACO. That request specified that we provide the best price and best service for NACO members. Since we began, our membership has grown steadily and includes members from Alaska, Hawaii and most of the lower 48 states. We do not charge companies for a "member set up fee" and only charge per person enrolled.
One of our goals is to provide our members a collection site located within 30 miles or less from their home or work. If we do not have a collection site near you, WE will find the closest one possible. When you call our office (during business hours) you will most likely be speaking to a person and not an automated system. In the rare case of having to leave a message, we will call you back promptly.
We have accounts with laboratories such as Quest, LabCorp, Medtox, Abbott Toxicology (part of eScreen) and Clinical Reference Labs (CRL.) Many of these laboratories provide walk in service, as well as providing properly trained collection site personnel, at their patient service centers. Most locations now accept electronic chain of custody forms which allows us to email you an authorization to test and NOT have to wait on mailed forms.
We are available 24 hours per day* (not just Monday through Friday) for
emergencies and post accident testing.
*(Call 251-943-4717 for the on-call person’s cell phone.)
If you are a NACO member please check into our program. If you are not a NACO member click on the logo at the bottom of the page and you will be redirected to the National Association of Charterboat Operators (NACO) website.
